A little about Ansells today

Ansell & Sons is a butchers’ shop owned and run by my husband Derek Raymond, me and our son Paul. Derek’s father Sidney was also a butcher at the shop from the mid 1930s. From the age of 14yrs Sidney worked for Leonard Ansell and Albert Ansell (Leonards son), who began trading in 1928. Sidney along with his son, Derek, took over when Albert Ansell retired in 1963. Sid’s wife Joan also worked alongside them for many years.
